Job Overview

The Sales Restaurant Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Sales and Marketing of private event sales and buisness development. This role is Tuesday Through Saturday, with work hours 11am-7:30pm.

Responsibilities

  • Private Event Sales: The Sales Restaurant Coordinator is responsible for helping the Restaurant Manager to achieve private dining sales goals, by assisting in BEO packets, lead organization, menu printing and any additional duties as assigned by the SMM.

  • Achieves a minimum of 90% of productivity goals and 100% of activity goals, as established by management.

  • Follows up on all leads within 48 hours of receipt in an effort to create new business for the hotel, and, when appropriate, sends leads to other Sage hotels.

  • Maintain and update office calendar with all new events.

  • Plans and implements an on-going Targeted Account Development "hit list" in order to create new revenue and acquire valuable hotel contacts, and contracts.

  • Continually targets and prospects for new business through telemarketing, individual creativity and innovation.

  • Develops customer profiles and maintains an effective trace system, including trace dates and references, in order to best meet client needs, resulting in superior account service and increased revenues.

  • Represents themselves, the hotel and Sage Development Resources, Inc. with the highest level of integrity and professionalism, a service-focused approach, and a caring, sincere attitude at all times.

  • Exhibits a positive and involved team attitude to all hotel departments and maintains open communications with all co-workers for the best overall performance of the hotel.

  • Displays a neat, clean, and business-like appearance at all times.

  • Focuses on revenue-producing activity and maximizes selling time by dedicating a minimum 90% work time on direct sales efforts.

  • Develops strong customer relationships through frequent communication and the use of professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction.

  • Assist in execution of private events/offsite events as needed

  • Restaurant Promotion Execution: Assist with the planning and execution of restaurant level promotions such as beer dinners, wine dinners, chef classes etc.

  • Business Partner Program: Support the GM in identifying key business contacts in trade area and developing these relationships. Assist the GM by looking for ways to recognize business and attract regular visits from employees while encouraging private event sales simultaneously.

  • Concierge Program: Assist the GM by developing relationships with residential concierges in the local trade area, distributing promotional items inclusive of menus, offers, etc. Assist the GM with weekly visits to ensure best positioning of brand in key areas. Track and report results.

  • Any and all other duties deemed necessary by a member of management.

Qualifications

Education/Formal Training

More than two years of post-high school education.

Experience

One to two full years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s).

Knowledge/Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs

  • Proficient in Social Media Platforms

  • Excellent mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances

  • Excellent hearing required to discern/resolve complaints, issues and participation in meetings for feedback.
