Job Overview

Create incredible milkshake desserts that delight our guests while ensuringproper service through quality control and sanitation levels.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all milkshakes served are made and presented in a beautiful, efficient, consistent and quality manner.

  • Monitor the station set up prior to opening to ensure maximum efficiency during restaurant open periods.

  • Monitor the equipment maintenance and maintain a "clean as you go" policy to ensure strict adherence.

  • Follow all food safety handling rules.

  • Prepare milkshake ingredients items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to prepare more than estimated needs.

  • Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull needs and station set up.

  • Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages.

  • Return all food items not used on the next shift to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables.

  • Perform all position closing procedures from food storage to station and appliance cleanliness to stewarding duties. Ensure that the milkshake station is ready for the next shift.

  • All other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Qualifications

Education/Formal Training

  • High school education or equivalent.

Experience

  • Experience required by position is from one to two full years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s).

  • An artistic spirit.

  • Prior experience in a food service environment a plus!

Knowledge/Skills

  • Must have excellent customer service skills.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to hear timers and coordinate with other baristas.

  • Must be able to check food quality and read production charts/recipes.

  • Ability to interact with guests in a positive,hospitable manner.

  • Must be able to use the cash register/collect money with accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

  • Position regularly involves lifting product cases weighing up to 70 lbs.

  • Pushing and pulling carts is required. Regular bending to lift items and supplies. No kneeling.

  • Mobility - regularly moves all around the coffee shop. Continuous standing

Environment

Physically strenuous -prolonged standing, walking, lifting and carrying throughout entire shift in indoor environment.
