Responsibilities
Café Duties and Responsibilities ($28.63 per hour)
Provide back up support to the café barista on duty.
Monitor baristas and ensure adherence to all service standards and SOPs, including inspecting staff for correct, clean, complete uniform, clean polished shoes, name tag and general appearance standards.
Provide back up support to the café barista on duty to ensure timely guest service.
Supervise service of guests, being watchful of signals from guests in need of service.
Assist management to establish and monitor side-work duty completion and next day preparation.
Check restaurant for cleanliness and set up. Check service stands and aisle areas. Check tables for cleanliness and proper set up.
Communicate daily with management with regard to special events, house counts, groups, etc.
All other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
Hotel Banquet and Responsibilities ($18.54 per hour + share of banquet service charges)
Read and interpret all Banquets Event Orders (BEOs) prior to start of event to ensure understanding of needs and requirements.
Supervise and assist banquet team with set up, service, breakdown and cleanup of banquet events according to BEOs.
Act as liaison to the events primary contact or event planner.
Ensure cleanliness of service areas while servicing guests per established policies and procedures.
Greet and serve guests following guidelines set by the policies/procedures regarding the service of food and beverage.
Maintain buffet table throughout the day, have all food items and utensils out on time and inform manager or hostess of any additional items needed on the table.
Assist guests; help serve as needed and respond to questions.
Keep kitchen area & all storage areas clean according to policies set forth by management.
Clearly and timely communicate needs and concerns to hotel management.
Perform side work duties as needed.
All other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
Qualifications
Education/Formal Training
High school education or equivalent.
Experience
Experience required by position is from one to two full years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s).
Knowledge/Skills
Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession. This includes experiential knowledge required for management of people and/or complex problems and food and beverage management.
Must have excellent oral communication for communicating with guests and associates, issuing instructions and communicating policies.
Excellent comprehension for assisting with guest and associate matters. Interpreting instructions from superiors.
Excellent vision required for seating guests, expediting food, cleaning equipment, reading floor plans, charts, and schedules.

Ability to lift, push, pull and carry tables, chairs, trays, plates, and chaffing dishes on a daily basis, 20 -40 lbs.
Bending - Bend to pick up dropped items as needed. Bend to assist in serving food or getting supplies.
Mobility - 95% of shift covering all areas of outlets supervising.
Continuous standing to assist at hostess station -minimal stationary standing. Climbing stairs -varies by location.
No driving required.
Environment
Inside 95% of work day. Temperatures can exceed 100 degrees if working at location with outside dining facilities and when assisting in kitchen.
