Job Overview

As a Private Dining Sales & Event Manager, you will be responsible for driving private dining sales for two fast-paced award-winning restaurants located within The Nines, a Luxury Collection Hotel. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the guest experience while maximizing revenue through private dining events. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, adept communication abilities to engage both clients and internal stakeholders, and a proactive approach to managing relationships with department heads and fellow team members throughout the hotel.

Responsibilities

  • Private Dining Sales: Drive sales initiatives to secure private dining bookings for both restaurants, meeting and exceeding revenue targets.

  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences to tailor bespoke dining experiences.

  • Event Coordination: Coordinate all aspects of private dining events, including menu selection, room setup, audiovisual requirements, and special requests, ensuring seamless execution.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with restaurant managers, chefs, and event staff to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service delivery.

  • Communication: Provide clear and timely communication to clients regarding event details, pricing, and policies, ensuring transparency and customer satisfaction.

  • Networking: Actively network within the local community to generate leads and expand the client base.

  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of bookings, contracts, and payments, and generate reports to track sales performance.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of corporate and restaurant procedures, products and competition, including their strengths and weaknesses, to continually improve sales strategies and achieve goals.

Qualifications

Education/Formal Training

More than two years of post-high school education

Experience

Experience required by position is from one to two full years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s).

Knowledge/Skills

  • Previous experience in sales, restaurants, preferably in the hospitality industry.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Includingmeeting clients on and off premises, to tour property and attend functions, to climb stairs, use door keys and operate basic office equipment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal team members.

  • Proficiency in TripleSeat, Open Table, InDesign, CI/TY, preferred, but not required.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business demands.

  • A passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

  • Requires ability to hear, speak, read and write English fluently.

  • Requires 12th grade level mathematics, spelling and reading skills.

  • Solve problems and make sound business decisions.

  • Respond to coaching, feedback and training. Strong and effective sales skills.

  • Vision to read fine print and computer screens, to see colors, to observe rooms in poorly lit conditions - 75% of the time.

  • Continuous standing - function observation, client site inspections (one hour minimum to four hours maximum) - 25% of the time.
