The amazing Hotel Nia is looking for their next great hire to join the leadership team. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to lead our associate engagement to the highest levels ever. Reporting directly to the GM, this role will manage a team of two and focus on associate recruiting, engagement and performance management for our 180 outstanding team members. Posting Overview:

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for the short and long term planning and management of the Human Resources functions. Acts as a strategic advisor to management on all people related matters. Promotes a positive working culture, associate high performance, quality service and empowerment to associates. Leads various functions including; recruitment, on-boarding, associate relations, state and federal compliance, benefits administration, workers compensation and safety.

Abilities

Lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying -approximately 5%. Bending/kneeling -to get files -5% annually. Mobility -40% of 10 hour day is spent around the hotel. Continuous standing -during training and lobby lizard duty. No climbing required. Driving -occasionally to attend hearings and recruitment activities.

Education/Formal Training

Four year college degree or equivalent experience/education preferred.

Experience

Four to five years of employment in human resources or related field.

Proven successful implementation of people resource process.

Union experiences a plus. Four year college degree or equivalent/education experience.
