Proven track record as a Director of Catering and Conference Services, preferably with an upscale luxury brand and/or Marriott Hotels
Technical skills as it relates to sales system management, weekly and monthly reporting and forecasting
Ability to set up and implement strategies that support the positioning of the property
Capability to ensure financial and revenue goals are achieved and sales productivity benchmarks are met
Experienced leader who can effectively hire, train and manage a team and ensure action plans and goals are attained consistently
Skillfully uncover new accounts in a highly competitive and saturated market
Works within a team to develop programming and activations to increase awareness and revenue
Involved in the community and develops mutually beneficial relationships and partnerships

The Director of Catering and Conference Services directs all areas of catering sales, including achieving goals and objectives; while analyzing potentials for business growth. Ensures all catering operations are in alignment with the direction of the Director of Sales, General Manager, Company, brand standards, and local, state and federal regulations. Ensures quality service, achieving financial goals and implementing short and long term strategies. Develops budget, marketing and business plans and capital expenditures.

Must have dexterity/mobility to meet clients on and off premises, to tour property and attend functions, to climb stairs, and operate basic office equipment.
Vision to read fine print and computer screens, to see colors, to observe rooms in poorly lit conditions
Excellent hearing necessary for verbal interaction with guests and associates.
Excellent vision necessary to view set-ups.
Excellent speech communication skills required for verbal interaction with guests and associates.
Excellent literacy necessary to read BEOs, process gratuities and payroll, etc
More than two years of post -high school education
More than two (2) full years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s).
