From the vibrant lobby bar, to the upscale roof top lounge, local beverages are served with spirited entertainment. The hotel offers 3,500 square feet of meeting and event space, including a patio with views of Walnut Street. The hotel is part of a mixed-use development in the center of Old Town Fort Collins, defined as Firehouse Alley, featuring Sage Restaurant Group’s newest concept: The Emporium: An American Brasserie

This is a hybrid marketing & media management role; the primary focus is threefold:
Social Media Management – all entities, all platforms
Website(s) Management & Updates
Marketing & PR Duties – media stays, onsite activations, community relations, photo shoots, etc.
Additional minor responsibilities will include some administrative duties, sales & marketing related projects, marketing assistance for other departments on an ad hoc basis, and other duties as identified by leadership.
Social Media Management:
Creating, capturing, and scheduling/posting ALL social media content for all property entities - The Elizabeth, Emporium, BowerBird, Sunset Lounge, and Magic Rat, with a goal to increase overall social media and marketing reach
Create and drive a social media strategy that supports the property with oversight from the DOSM, Restaurant AGM, and corporate management
Understanding of social media marketing best practices and strategy, or ability to learn, the best practices for hotels/restaurants/hospitality brands within the social media space and the ability to implement those practices across all channels
Ability to create professional, relevant, and on-brand content to be published to all profiles
The ability to strategically think and implement a plan on social media channels that will support brand awareness and larger sales & marketing goals and benchmarks
Ability to competently engage and respond to guests’ comments and messages across all platforms; knowledge of how to handle a guest crisis should it arise via social media
Competency in using or learning to use Sprout Social for posting duties and to run reports for metrics on all entities to measure social media results
Website(s) Management and Information Updates:
Responsible for content updates and maintenance of The Elizabeth, Sunset Lounge, and Magic Rat websites - including musical performance calendars, etc.
Also adding Emporium restaurant website duties in Q1 022, including menus
Maintain information and data accuracy as well as overall presentation of information on multiple third-party websites:
Marriott Brand.com website updates
Several third-party websites for sales team - CVENT, Wedding Wire, The Knot, ZOLA, etc.
Band details for Magic Rat website - in partnership with Bohemian calendar
Visiting Media 3D & 360 content management and maximized use on various websites listed above
Marketing &Public Relations:
Assist DOSM with planning and execution of PR worthy activations, programming, amenities, and packages
Ability to utilize branding documents to help understand brand story and identity; ability to pull that brand identity through effectively and accurately to other tasks along with ability to coincide with brand story from Marriott and Sage Restaurant Concepts for both hotel and outlets
Work to develop and coordinate on property marketing activations, solicit media influencer and traditional media stay visits, and generate community outreach partnerships
Hands on management of all stays and events related to such partnerships
Organize grassroots community promotion and outreach for hotel, outlets, activations, partnerships, etc. via ‘street team’ or other initiatives
Managing advertising and photo requests from vendors and clients, with DOSM
Help streamline on property branding and marketing efforts - assure consistency of fonts, signatures, communications, etc. for each entity and communication with clients to be ‘On Brand”
Utilize current reporting from brands to drive improved content and marketing initiatives and decisions
Direct, manage or assist in the development of creative materials, online and offline, to support both corporate and property sales & marketing goals
Assist designated hotel with communication (flyers, signs, menus, etc.) – work with property staff on design and creation of new materials
Utilize Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat and SRC preferred software of InDesign
Maintains and stores a chronological order of media library and electronic files of all advertising materials by property and activity.
Digital Marketing - basic knowledge (or willingness/aptitude to learn) digital marketing tactics. Ability to review results and measure successfulness of channel tactics including SEO, PPC/SEM, display advertising, social advertising, etc.
Advertising Content - responsible for reviewing, providing actionable feedback and approving paid advertising copy, display advertisements, and social media advertisements
CMS - Working knowledge of Content Manager within Marriott and understanding of its capabilities. Responsible for updating images, creating packages, and other sales materials.
Coordination with Sales, Operations and Revenue Management on packages, offers and deals and communicate offerings to digital vendor
Develops strong customer relationships through appropriate client communication and the use of professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction.
Time Management: Focuses on revenue-producing activity and maximizes selling time through retaining accounts/customers, maximizing account yield opportunities and sales effectiveness.
Professionalism: Controls expenses on the property's behalf in order to minimize department and hotel costs. Maximizes return on all investments. Represents themselves and the hotel with the highest level of integrity and professionalism, a service -focused approach and a caring, sincere attitude at all times.
Exhibits a positive and involved team attitude to all hotel departments and maintains open communications with all coworkers for the best overall performance of the hotel. Display a neat, clean and business-like appearance at all times.
Contributes to the hotel's overall marketing and media efforts during planning and strategy phases through research and knowledgeable input.
Community/Social Media Involvement: Actively participates in those community and social media partnerships that most benefit the hotel's exposure to the community and the hotel's marketing initiatives and goals.
Performs other duties as assigned or deemed necessary by leadership.
The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and associates may be asked to work shift other than those they prefer to normally work.
A four year college degree or equivalent education/experience.
Required to have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a marketing position. Hospitality experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Excellent comprehension and literacy required to read manager's letters, help prepare contracts and proposals
Ability to negotiate effectively
Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Professional appearance and manner
Computer literacy, specifically MS Word for Windows
Communication at all levels; multi-tasking; time management
