We are looking for a reservations coordinator to join our team! This position supports both our Revenue and Operation departments, 80% of the job functions detail revenue processes and 20% of the job functions supporting our front office.

To assist the hotel in maintaining and enhancing the revenue management systems in order to increase daily revenue while maintaining and coordinating group reservations and day-to-day room inventory; controlling sell-out days and supervising upgrades.

Enter and verify all transient reservations and group room blocks, along with Group Reservations Manager. Update all hotel information into the reservation system.
Work directly with clients for rooming and group cut-offs, maintaining ongoing communication with Sales Department.
Display high levels of professionalism in all areas of communication.
Monitor the progress of all room blocks.
Provide accurate and up-to-date computerized reports on daily and monthly information in order to maintain accurate strategy.
Keep up-to-date information on all local and hotel functions and services in order to efficiently respond to telephone inquiries.
Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
Work closely with front office, engineering, reservations, sales and housekeeping departments to ensure all rooms’ details are accurate and complete.
Confer with all appropriate management regarding handling of groups, unusual circumstances, or special requests.
Ensure that special reservations and accommodations are handled properly, with no errors.
Block group rooms, daily rooms and special request rooms.
Block early arrivals, special needs guests, & VIP’s.
Review all group resumes & ensure all appropriate information is communicated to associates.
Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a professional and personalized manner.
Actively participate in daily and weekly briefings and meetings.
Assure all guest and client inquiries via voicemail or email is responded to in a timely manner.
Understand and communicate promotions and enhancements effectively with Service Professionals and guests.
Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
Contribute to the hotel’s overall sales effort by assisting guests as needed.
Coordinate input of forecast and coding.

Ability to type 60 WPM, Microsoft Word applications: Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint. Alphabetizing, grammar and punctuation skills. Standard business letter formats. Strong editing skills. Excellent hearing required for telephone inquiries and client and associate handling. Excellent vision required as contracts and letters are hand written, filing, using computer, checking diary. Excellent speech communication skills necessary to communicate clearly with customers and other departments. Excellent comprehension and literacy required to read manager's letters and help prepare contracts and proposals. Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Bending/kneeling - repeated bending and kneeling required while filing, Mobility - must be able to reach all areas of hotel to assist clients. Occasional standing. Occasional carrying and lifting of files and office items up to 25 lbs.
4-year college degree or equivalent hospitality experience.
Previous sales, hospitality &/or analysis experience preferred.
Basic office equipment and material
Prolonged sitting throughout entire shift at computerized or manual work station in office environment.
