Job Overview
The Sage Marketing intern works closely the Senior Corporate Director, PR & Brand Communications and members of the marketing team in developing and executing PR campaigns, creating/editing social media content, auditing website content and messaging, and promoting our brand across various channels. As a marketing Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing within the dynamic hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
Assist in drafting press releases, website copy, and other PR materials.
Create and edit media and influencer lists and databases.
Contribute to social media content creation and management.
Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and media opportunities.
Audit hotel and restaurant websites, identifying opportunities for content refreshes.
Audit hotel and restaurant social media channels, identifying opportunities for optimization.
Assist in ensuring consistent brand messaging and property information.
Provide general administrative support to the marketing team, including organizing materials.
Qualifications
Education/Formal Training
Pursuing BA/BS degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
Experience
Work experience or internship in hospitality operations, marketing or communications preferred.
Knowledge/Skills
Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage time wisely to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently while also maintaining rapport with other team members.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with social media platforms.
Previous internship or relevant experience in PR or hospitality is a plus.
