Job Overview

The Resident Clubhouse Manager is responsible for creating a welcoming and vibrant clubhouse atmosphere, in the Legacy Lounge, by managing daily operations, bartending, serving, building resident relationships, coordinating events, and overseeing inventory. The Legacy Lounge is a bar and event space located in the resident building of McGregor Square.

Responsibilities

  • Bartending & Serving : Prepare and serve beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks to residents in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Resident Relations : Build positive relationships with residents, ensuring they have a welcoming, enjoyable experience in the clubhouse. Address any concerns or special requests they may have.

  • Clubhouse Management : Oversee the daily operations of the clubhouse bar area, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and a vibrant atmosphere.

  • Inventory Management : Order and maintain stock of beverages, bar supplies, and snacks. Ensure the bar is always well-stocked and inventory is tracked accurately.

  • Event Coordination : Plan and coordinate small events, gatherings, or themed nights to engage residents and create a lively community environment.

  • Staff Coordination : If additional staff are needed, assist with scheduling and management to ensure smooth operations.

  • Compliance & Safety : Ensure the bar and clubhouse comply with all health and safety regulations, including alcohol service laws.

Qualifications

Education/Formal Training

More than two years of post high school education. College Degree preferred.

Experience

Two to three full years of full employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s).

Knowledge/Skills

  • Must be 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.

  • Requires thorough knowledge of the restaurant/hotel practices and procedures in order to perform non-repetitive analytical work.

  • May require knowledge of policies and procedures and the ability to determine course of action based on these guidelines.

  • Supervision/management communication skills are required.

  • Requires ability to investigate and analyze current activities or information and make logical conclusions and recommendations.

  • Ability to make occasional decisions which are generally guided by established policy and procedures.

  • Excellent comprehension for assisting with guest and associate matters. Interpreting instructions from superiors.

  • Excellent vision required for seating guests, expediting food, cleaning equipment, reading floor plans, charts, schedules.

  • Must have excellent oral communication for communicating with guests and associates, issuing instructions and communicating policies.

Physical Demands

  • Lifting trays, dish racks, glass racks, etc. 20 -40 lbs. Pushing carts, Queen Marys, hotbox, portable bar 50 -100 lbs. Carrying trays, dish racks, glass racks, etc. 20 -40 lbs.

  • Bending/kneeling -ability to bend to lower level cabinets and lift trays.

  • Mobility -maneuver in narrow areas and between seated guests.

  • Continuous standing required to service guest functions; 100% of the time scheduled.

  • Climbing approximately 12 steps 20% of 8 hours.

  • No driving required.

  • Must be able to ruse records and all special requests.

  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks at one time, must be able to follow verbal and written instruction in English, and be able to communicate both verbally and in writing.

  • Must be highly organized and able to pay attention to sound and sight details in crowded and noisy situations, particularly when handling multiple tasks.

  • Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations.

  • Ability to accurately count cash. Ability to operate cash register.

Inside 95% of workday. Physically strenuous -prolonged standing, walking, lifting and carrying throughout entire shift
