Job Overview
Supervise the operations of the laundry operation and staff promoting a safe environment and quality service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction, protection of assets and minimal expenses.
Responsibilities
Supervise the laundry staff; providing open communications, training, coach and counsel and provide performance feedback to ensure maximum efficiency.
Assist leadership in the supervision of the laundry staff; assist in scheduling, train, provide open communication, coach and counsel and provide performance feedback to ensure maximum efficiency.
Monitor the condition of all laundry equipment for proper maintenance, cleaning and repair to protect assets and ensure maximum efficiency and a safe work environment.
Assist leadership in the control of linen inventories through maintaining accurate records on linen discarded.
Act as a lead worker in operating all laundry equipment, sorting, processing for cleaning, folding, ironing to ensure appropriate clean linens available for business level.
Qualifications
Education/Formal Training
One to two years of post high school education.
Experience
Experience required by position is from 2 to 3 full years of employment with this company or other organization(s).
Knowledge/Skills
Requires thorough knowledge of the Laundry field.
Requires knowledge of hotel policies and procedures and the ability to determine course of action based on these guidelines.
Requires supervision/management skills.
Ability to compile facts and figures.

Mobility -continuous movement throughout department. Continuous standing -100% of shift. Occasional climbing required.
Environment
Excessive heat and humidity in laundry. Inside 95% of shift.
