Job Overview
Under general supervision, provides guest services to hotel pool guests and ensures their satisfaction, safety, and comfort by promptly and courteously responding to their requests. Will assist housekeeping and food & beverage teams with duties of ensuring areas are kept clean and in compliance with all pool regulations.
Responsibilities
Regular walking of all pool areas a regular basis to ensure safety and compliance is adhered to.
Respond to any guest complaints/concerns and assist to remedy the situation with a sense of urgency.
Greets all hotel pool guests in a prompt and friendly manner.
Remain attentive to the customers throughout their entire pool experience, adhering to or exceeding service standards as established by their manager(s).
Completes all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing sidework as instructed.
Responds to guest inquiries and comments in-person and on phone by providing timely and knowledgeable information in order to provide quality customer service.
Presents a clean and professional appearance at all times.
Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
Enforce the 'No Solicitation Policy' of the property.
Qualifications
Education/Formal Training
High school education or equivalent experience.
Experience
Minimum six-months guest-facing customer service experience.
Preferred hotel valet or food server experience.
Knowledge/Skills
Must have high school graduate level mathematical aptitude, know standard cash handling procedures and knowledge of computerized cash register systems.
Must have past experience in dealing directly with the public and acquired general knowledge of basic customer service skills.
Must be fluent in oral and written English.
Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations.
Must be highly organized and able to pay attention to minute written and verbal details, particularly when performing multiple tasks.
Excellent hearing required to communicate with guests, employees, managers, use radio.
Physical Demands

Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 lbs to include serving trays, carts, tables, chairs, and small equipment up to 75% of the time.
Balancing, stooping kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, and handling throughout the shift.
Mobility -full range of mobility and the ability to travel up to 600 feet on a regular basis throughout the shift.
Continuous standing -during preparation, during service hours, or during walk through of pool areas.
Must have moderate hearing to hear customers, supervisors, and communicate with other staff.
Must have excellent vision to see that any guest product delivered to cabanas are prepared appropriately.
Must have moderate comprehension and literacy to read use records and all special requests.
Must have ability to perform multiple tasks at one time, must be able to follow verbal and written instruction, and be able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
Must be highly organized and able to pay attention to sound and sight details in crowded and noisy situations, particularly when handling multiple tasks.
Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations.
No driving required.
Environment
Work outside 85% of shift in Texas summer heat where temperatures may range from 110 degrees to 60 degrees and 8+ hours of direct sunshine.
