Job Overview
The Marketing Manager is a brand ambassador who will work with a variety of constituencies; someone who will focus priorities while juggling multiple tasks and goals. This person will be an adept marketer and possess a high level of event management knowledge. This is a position that requires excellent organization and communication skills so that daily tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Marketing Manager’s Main Roles
Digital marketing, email campaigns, social media, activation & event production, content creation, graphic design
Digital Marketing
Assist in the production of revenue-generating email campaigns for Hotel Van Zandt; provide compelling copy and imagery for campaigns
Responsible for the maintenance of Hotel Van Zandt’s website; updates packages and promotions, calendar of events, landing pages, etc., while ensuring ADA compliance and fulfilling any additional website changes/requests
Maintain all location listings on platforms such as Google, TripAdvisor, etc.
Events & Activations
Lead the development, promotion, execution, and management of all Hotel Van Zandt events and other creative promotions, as developed
Create and curate cutting-edge activations throughout the year to keep Hotel Van Zandt top-of-mind in the community and drive markets
Maintain and update event listings on all third-party sites, such as Visit Austin, Do512, and other partner sites
Communicate events internally; ensure all team members are aware of events and activations through standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Provide on-site support during events ensuring successful execution
Social Media
Support agency partners in maintaining social media strategies and create content, including video content, for all social media platforms for Hotel Van Zandt, Brass Poppy, and Geraldine’s
Manage Sprout Social accounts, develop KPIs, and provide monthly reports to the Director of Marketing
Stay on top of social trends and engage in new methods to capitalize on new marketing opportunities
Branding
Design, update, and maintain all property-wide signage
Update all F&B menus, sales kits, catering menus, and in-room collateral for Hotel Van Zandt; support team with any changes and updates when needed
Design additional items for the properties as requested by management
Ensure all marketing materials on-site are on-brand
General Responsibilities
Brainstorm and develop unique, creative packages and experiential offerings that align with sales, revenue, and PR goals
Write on-brand, grammatically correct copy for all packages and offerings as well as the website, email campaigns, social media, marketing collateral, etc.
Work with Director of Marketing on strategic partnerships and fulfillment as it relates to packages, events, and activations
Performs other duties as assigned or deemed necessary by management
Requirements
College degree in marketing, public relations, business, communication, journalism, or related field
Must be highly motivated and a quick learner
Highly organized
Capable of meeting tight deadlines and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Willing and able to work long hours on evenings and weekends when necessary, including some holidays
Event work: long hours on feet, able to lift and carry 30 pounds
Graphic Design experience a benefit. You will be responsible for basic flyers, brochures, posters, menu updates, etc.

Qualifications
Education
College degree in marketing communications (or related field); three years related experience and/or training.
Experience
Previous marketing experience is a must. Hospitality experience preferred.
