Job Overview

Supervise the operations of the laundry operation and staff promoting a safe environment and quality service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction, protection of assets and minimal expenses.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the laundry staff; providing open communications, training, coach and counsel and provide performance feedback to ensure maximum efficiency.

• Assist leadership in the supervision of the laundry staff; assist in scheduling, train, provide open communication, coach and counsel and provide performance feedback to ensure maximum efficiency.

• Monitor the condition of all laundry equipment for proper maintenance, cleaning and repair to protect assets and ensure maximum efficiency and a safe work environment.

• Assist leadership in the control of linen inventories through maintaining accurate records on linen discarded.

• Act as a lead worker in operating all laundry equipment, sorting, processing for cleaning, folding, ironing to ensure appropriate clean linens available for business level.

Qualifications

Education/Formal Training

One to two years of post high school education.

Experience

Experience required by position is from 2 to 3 full years of employment with this company or other organization(s).

Knowledge/Skills

• Requires thorough knowledge of the Laundry field.

• Requires knowledge of hotel policies and procedures and the ability to determine course of action based on these guidelines.

• Requires supervision/management skills.

• Ability to compile facts and figures.
