Job Overview
Clean and maintain all corridors, public areas, and parking lots in accordance with all housekeeping procedures/ standards and safety & security rules and regulations to ensure guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Clean & care for buildings, facilities, and exterior of property to ensure they are maintained in a safe and healthy manner.
Check landscaping, mulch beds, lawn, for cigarette butts, trash, and debris.
Sweep all walkways and ensure any trash, debris, cobwebs, etc. are removed from exterior areas of buildings.
Notify management of any repairs needed (lighting, public areas, parking lot, etc.)
Empty all exterior waste baskets and keep receptacles clean
Sweep walkways and parking lot as needed to ensure clean and safe areas.
Use carpet cleaner, floor scrubber, power washer, and any other assigned equipment to safely clean interior floors, as well as the exterior building and walkways.
Attend safety meetings & other related meetings.
Respond to guest requests and questions and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
Education/Formal Training
No formal education needed.
Experience
Prior janitorial/ custodial experience desirable.
Knowledge/Skills
Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
Ability to meet standards of appearance.
Can communicate well with guests.
Minimal speech communication skills to utilize alternate communication.
Minimal literacy necessary; can utilize alternate training tools.

Ability to assess required reaction to meet standards.
Ability to communicate with guests and housekeepers and respond to requests and questions.
Continuously standing and/or walking to accomplish all that is required for position.
Climbing stairs -approximately 40 steps 20% of 40 hour week.
Must be able to lift/ carry 50lbs throughout entire shift.
No driving required.
Environment
Outside 80% of working shift.
Exposure to both stable and extreme variance of hot and cold temperatures.
Outside exposure to all weather elements and extreme fluctuations of temperature.
Prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, and heavy lifting.
