Why Us Sage Hospitality is set to hire an accomplished Group Sales Manager who will be an integral part of this new Perry Lane, a Luxury Collection Hotel, in the historic district of Savannah, Georgia. The hotel will feature 168 guest rooms, a pool, meeting spaces, a rooftop events space and retail and dining options. The hotel’s entrances will give the feel of an airy, southern front porch while the lobby will be reminiscent of a parlor you might find in a Savannah manor. This will include attendants with bar carts who will create a custom cocktail for guests.

We are looking for an outstanding Group Sales Manager to join us! This position will report to the Director of Sales and Marketing and will be based onsite in Savannah. We are looking for a savvy, dynamic individual that thrives in a multi-tasking environment and is a strong team player. The successful Sales Manager will use their knowledge of Starwood or Marriott Systems and will support a positive and collaborative environment.

The Group Sales Manager is responsible for selling the hotel, developing sales contacts and performing sales activities in assigned markets. Exempt Sales Managers must spend more than 50% of their time outside directly selling. Must be able to engage customers, analyzes their needs, and creates tailored proposals. Negotiates and closes sales while achieving sales targets. Effectively communicates internally and externally through various methods and across all departments.

Strong sales techniques and yield management.

Develop budgets and financial plans as required by internal departments and clients.
Must have dexterity/mobility to meet clients on and off premises, tour property, attend functions and climb stairs.
Must have own reliable transportation and possess a valid state driver’s license in order to make sales calls.
Bending/kneeling - repeated bending and kneeling required while filing, Mobility - must be able to reach all areas of hotel to assist clients. Occasional standing. Occasional carrying and lifting of files and office items up to 25 lbs.
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
Six months minimum in sales, customer service related position or hotel experience preferred.
General office equipment: computer, typewriter, copier, facsimile, telephone, calculator, etc. .
